Change RedBear Duo SSID SoftAP

#1

Hello guys,

Reading this: https://github.com/redbear/Duo/blob/master/docs/firmware_architecture_overview.md

I can change de “device code” with (in windows):
echo ABCD > serial
dfu-util -d 2b04:d058 -a 1 -s 1852:6 -D serial

but i cant change “ssid prefix”
echo Dao > ssid_prefix
dfu-util -d 2b04:d058 -a 1 -s 1826 -D ssid_prefix

Why “Duo” in the ssid prefix SoftAP Wifi Name never change?
I need pass another value?

I see this in https://community.particle.io/t/change-photon-ssid/13737/8

Regards!

Hi @fisek,

Currently the firmware for the Duo falls behind in contrast to the firmware for Photon. We are busy catching up the features and enhancements for the Duo.

Hi @guohui

So currently there is no way to change the name of the SSID?

Hi @fisek,

We’ve just released the v0.3.2 firmware for the Duo. Please try it again. And make sure you pass correct parameters to the echo command:

How to update the bootloader?

#6

The bootloader will be updated by the system firmware automatically.

Sorry do you mean an OTA push from the Particle Could will update?

Mine is still showing 0.3.1 in the Console even though the device is connected…

Used the App to update it but now the Particle Console is showing Version unknown and the IDE does not support v0.3.2. I understand there will be a lag between the update and the tools being updated. Is there anything I should be caustious of from the IDE or Console aspects until it is updated?

Hi @jockmacmad,

There is an issue in v0.3.2, which is that the system version retrieved over serial console is still 0.3.1, although it is actually running the v0.3.2.

The Web IDE support for v0.3.2 is still under testing.

Which App are you using? Is the App from Particle or RedBear?
